How Perspecs works with an agency
Perspecs connects to an agency's permit system and is where inspections get scheduled, assigned, run, and tracked. Permits stay in the agency's system. Staff, inspectors, and contractors do the inspection work in Perspecs.
The agency keeps the system it already has. No migration.
How we connect with an agency
1.Point us at the source of truth. The agency keeps its existing system, whatever it already uses to track permits. Perspecs connects to it and keeps those records in sync as they change.
2.The agency sets the rules. Time windows, cutoffs, departments, inspection types, and assignment. That lives in the agency workspace or what we call the back office.
3.The right people get the right access. Admins and inspectors are invited with a role. Contractors create one account, find the agency, and only see their own permits. One login can work across several cities. Each agency's data stays separate.
Our role for any agency
The connection depends on the system the agency already has. The product does not. A small department and a large jurisdiction use the same Perspecs software. What changes is the configuration.
For The agency staff the workspace is a tool. Staff see the open inspections, assign inspectors, and set departments, inspection types, scheduling times, and inspection windows. They can watch the work across the jurisdiction. Results go back to the system the agency already uses.
For contractors and the public, Perspecs is the contractor app and the public portal. A contractor sees their permits, follows each inspection, and schedules the next one. On the public portal, someone can look up a permit without an account, then sign in to request an inspection and pick a window.
What one inspection looks like
The permit already exists in the agency's system, and Perspecs already has it. Someone schedules an inspection under that agency's rules. Staff assign an inspector in the back office tool. The inspector runs it in the field. The contractor can follow the status in the contractor app. The result is in Perspecs, and Perspecs writes it back to the agency's system.
Permit numbers and history stay in the agency's system. Each agency's data stays separate. What changes is that contractors can see what is happening, inspectors can run the day from a phone, and fewer status questions land at the counter.
