Understanding Permit Statuses: What Each One Means

A quick reference guide for contractors to understand what each permit status means and what action to take next.
Why Statuses Matter
Every permit in Perspecs has a status that tells you exactly where it is in the review and inspection process. Understanding these statuses means you always know what's happening โ and what to do next.
Pending Review
Your permit has been submitted and is waiting for the agency to review it. No action needed on your end yet. You'll get a notification when the status changes.

Approved / Ready for Inspection
The permit has been approved and you can now schedule an inspection. Head to the record detail page and tap "Schedule Inspection" to pick a date.
Inspection Scheduled
An inspection has been booked. You'll see the date, time window, and assigned inspector (once assigned) on your dashboard. Status updates happen in real time.
Inspection Passed / Failed
The inspector has completed the inspection. If it passed, you're good to proceed. If it failed, check the inspector's comments and photos for details on what needs to be corrected before rescheduling.
